I love this, and yet as I lean into my own sacred truth I have to identify that I am not always able to do/be/act in how I’d like. I would love to march and protest but I can’t. Not because I don’t want to, but because I have physical and mental health limitations that would be exacerbated. I don’t do well in crowds and am claustrophobic, so I would be constantly stimulated or stressed. Physically, I am not only short, but also have dyspraxia, am hard of hearing, recovering from back surgery, and struggle with chronic fatigue. So how do I get to resist? To show solidarity? I rest. I steward. I dance and sing when my body lets me. And I guide. I comfort. I work with young people and remind them of their strength so they can resist. We all have a part to play in making some good trouble even when it feels like we are doing nothing at all.
100% support you. If I’m healthy enough by tomorrow, I’ll be joining the protest in Nebraska. If not, I’ll let my voice be heard in other avenues! We must resist this Chaos and bring back calm to our country and people.
Your words feel like a torch passed hand to hand in the dark—sacred, steady, and alive with purpose.
The line “Though our voices might tremble, we must speak” cracked something open in me. It’s that exact tremble that reminds me I’m still human, still feeling, still in it—and not numbed out. That tremble is the medicine.
Thank you for making space for fire and fear, action and rest. For honoring the many forms resistance takes. For reminding us that even seedballs and sacred no’s are revolutionary acts.
Here’s to all of us getting into some very good trouble—together.
Thanks so much for your leadership, Heather Ash. I'm trying to figure out what support for a Better World looks like from me. Yet I also honor that listening to NPR has caused me panic attacks in the past. So typically I give money to organizations that help make the world a Better World for Alll Humans, with Values & Value for all Life. Yet I feel I want to do more than that. I've been writing a lot of divinely inspired poetry in the morning, as the Artist & Author of my Life. I look forward to hearing more ideas on what Healthy Engagement & Activism looks like. And organizations to give to.
I find following folks on substack and reading when I feel strong and am grounded so helpful to staying current without overwhelm. and we all have to find the way that works for us. We need protests and donations, poetry and activism. I was really inspired by the organization Indivisible that hosted the Santa Fe event: https://indivisible.org/ I'll share more as I gather more info. Love!

YES for showing solidarity by resting, steward, joy, love. Just your being is a revolution. Much love to you, dearest Mirakel!
A friend shared your content with me this afternoon, and I really enjoyed it. These are tough times indeed. Thank you.
Thanks for being here, Cindy!

Agreed... slow and steady. This was one of many coming actions steps. There are many avenues...
