All my adult life, I dreamed of restoring an old adobe and living in it in northern New Mexico. And it’s happened! And still ongoing. I never thought I could be so blessed and fortunate. So your ever unfolding story gives me strength and laughs when I need it. Thank you Thank you!
I LOVE this story so much! Weaving is my “later in Life” creative muse! It has been the seed ball of my mind and hands and imagination. It’s so much fun to play!
As a lifelong knitter and quilter, I didn’t think I could fall in love w a new craft like this. It challenges my brain and tickles my color senses in such unexpected ways! If you get a chance to try it sometime …..
I have been feeling the pull of clay in my hands for a long time. I think it's high time I find a place for it. Thank you for the inspiration! Love to you!
It is wonderful to me how many of us fell. in love with ceramics in high school and still think about it! May you one day have a studio or find one near you that you can use... In Kingston NY I was able to go into the studio at any time and it was such a joy to be there at midnight by myself making pots! : )
O, my gosh! I have always loved ceramics but after a few college classes, have determined that I am terrible at it. I love how it feeds your soul and that you have it available to you up on the Ranch. What an amazing place to create! My seedling was finding my faith/spirit in nature. It has led me to build my Earthship where I can live in harmony with the natural world. As soon as the right parcel of land.
In college I fell in love with clay & it was my primary art for almost 10 years. My husband & father-in-law built me an amazing kick wheel & I got a kiln after we bought our first house. That was a very long time ago but I still believe I could do it again & am inspired to find a place now that we are settled into FtW.
Bless all your creative endeavors & may you never stop exploring & inspiring.
Synchronicity is my direct line to my higher power. I have a hard time ignoring when something like this happens. For a year now, I have been driving past our town’s ceramic studio. And, yet I have not made it in. This past Friday, my husband and I had a Ghost date night there. It’s a fun offering they make at night for two sets of couples with a Polaroid photo a la the movie ghost to end the night. I left there as I do when I am turned on by things thinking, “do I have the space to add ceramics to my life?” And, poof, this article banner appears on my phone as I wake up two days later.
Such a fun journey. Thank you for sharing your seedling love of pottery and how the seed was so organically germinated over the years. What a perfect metaphor and lived experience. So happy the clay found you!
This, this organic development is how my first book of poetry was born. One seed at a time until a whole garden had bloomed and it was clear it was time to share the beauty.
It is fun to follow the bread crumbs of how we step into things... love that you had those seeds around poetry, and that a flower became a bouquet : ) Blessings!
You are so amazing and inspiring!
Thank you for living into the Beauty that you are.
I am encouraged to do the same and am unfolding at a very fast pace along side you.
Grateful.
Excited to witness your art be expressed!
Thank you for being wonderful YOU, Ash.
Thank you Sue! Here's to more art in the world and more beauty

Hmmmm I love knitting and have thought about weaving; it is truly magic! Glad you are playing with color and yarn, such a delight.

I will! A friend of mine just started weaving as well... one thing I did last year was learn how to spin yarn, and that was magical as well!

You told your tale beautifully. You inspire me. Thank you for sharing.
If I could buy a pottery studio, I would not hesitate to. It’s always been my dream since I fell in love with pottery in high school, 30 years ago.

You are such an inspiration with how you follow your dreams/intuition and under what most of us would consider untenable physical conditions.
Thanks!!
love it!
