Good morning. Your collaborative article touched all my senses. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every word, expressed with love and gratitude. Thank you for sharing such a profound history of experiences and capturing humanity in the shadows of blossoms and time. :)
In the yard of the home where I spent most of my childhood from age 2 yrs til 16 years, there were many different flowers & a couple of fruit trees. The blooming of those flowers & trees marked the changing seasons for me. The Iris & Tulip bulbs were the first to bloom in early Spring, along with the plum & green apple trees. To mark Fall, the spider lilies (my favorites) put on quite show. I can't remember about the roses & Camelia bushes. I believe they started in the spring & bloomed all summer along with the fragrant honeysuckle vines. We also had pecan trees that started leafing out when winter was positively over. What a treat, to bring these memories up. Thank you!
The neighborhood magnolia tree covered in pink tulip shaped blossom followed by azalea. Each perennial bloom emerges in its time. The grand finale in New England unfolds in the first weeks of October is all about maple trees and colorful leaves.
I appreciate this perspective. I feel that seasonal time became unrecognized by many long before cell phones and digital time devices. Your pointing out that digital time punctuates the moment made me happy. I love that the moment is punctuated as long as the flow of time is not forgotten; yet what is the flow of time but one moment following the other. The disconnection of many from nature can be seen in so many aspects of our culture. Thank you for highlighting the synergy of it/us all! Have a beauty filled Spring🌷
I absolutely LOVED this newsletter. I read it this morning via the Primal Derma newsletter and sent an email response there. Such a beautiful collaboration. I could hear and feel both of you in this writing. It definitely gave me pause and a new perspective about "time". I really enjoyed the way you both tied in the cherry blossoms. The visuals from the images in the article, as well as the written word, and the way it touched all my senses. Just lovely! Thank you for this gift of collaboration and running this experiment. Looking forward to more! :)
Beautiful! All the best to you both! I loved your description of clicks past & present. This year I have spent many days outside as I am rebuilding gardens where all was brown & barren when we arrived last summer. It is difficult but joyful work so I have a small understanding of what you are doing on the mountain in New Mexico.
Hello! Spring for me is when the Home and Garden is held because from there a series of shows and events happen as the seasons progress. And I look for the blossoms on the cherry and apple trees. <3

Marking the time through the seasons.
A parade of bloom -
Snow drops and croci, forsythia and daffodils.
