Soooo powerful. I never met Wil, but thanks to you, now I feel like I did and do...love the videos of you two teaching. and what a wild synchronicity about the water drying up...we must keep the flow (I can't be reminded of this enough!)
Thanks love! Grateful to share him, and to remember the importance of flow: love, grief, life, loss. Blessings and excited to have you on the podcast soon!
Teary heart connection alongside you… Here’s to all the loves and the losses. 🙏❤️❤️❤️ Today my Great Uncle Wally comes to my heart. He was the family song leader before my Dad and before me. He was such a hoot with the biggest heart. “Now all the girls! Now all the boys!” He would shout with joy between verses of Deck the Halls. 🎶
This is such a beautiful post, HeatherAsh. I can truly feel the spirit of your friend and comrade, Will. How remarkable (and yet not) that Jacob's Well stopped flowing around the time of his departure.
I love the idea of memorializing your artist friends with cabins named after them and featuring their artwork, that feels perfect. We each have our own best ways of doing this, I believe. With my friend Katya, my big project in the year after she died was to collaborate with another one of her dear friends who is a graphic designer, and we put together a calendar of her haiku and photography. Doing so helped me to metabolize my grief at losing her, and on a very physical level it made her beautiful art available to those her loved her. That was a good project for me. Love hearing how people do this in different ways...

Grief is the deep well of love. I often dive into it to meet those who are on the other side of the veil.
Love that Asa.
Oh, and I couldn’t get the video to play… maybe I’m missing something?
Love that image of your great uncle Wally… try clicking on the second video image and see if that works to open the video 🙏🏽
Success!
