wow, this hit: "These are hard times, so we actually need to amp up our play and pleasure, not bury them under the weight of false responsibility or caretaking." I had to leave the work force early (only 58) due to health. Am feeling out of sorts as i am no longer contributing monetarily to our household. Warring between overcompensating (trying to do EVERYTHING in our home) and feeling guilty (for playing in my art office). Also trying to keep someone (who sees my retirement as availability to care for her critically ill spouse) at arms length. I want to be a hermit in my art supplies.

HERMIT IN YOUR ART SUPPLIES! Get nourished and resourced so you can really be there for yourself and others in a way that is not draining or from false obligation. Let yourself follow what your heart wants to do, you can contribute to the world in so many different ways, not just monetarily. It is such a balance to not fall into guilt or overdoing, but find the rooted steadiness to bring your joy and strength to others, that is a huge gift. Thakns for sharing!

I’m surviving and thriving as I enter into my power. I start my doctorate next week— a three year endeavor barring any major challenges; I’m finishing off the school year with my student clients at the high school; and I’m halfway through my clinical hours journey. I’m stepping into my power as a liminal witch and emerging death doula even as parts of me are still resisting the expectations of what that means. I’m changing everything I touch and everything touch changes. 😉 Love you Ash!

LOVE THIS! Mirakel you are such a powerhouse, and so glad you are stepping into more expansion and grounded service. You are so needed as a liminal witch and whisperer of the unseens realms. Thanks for all you do, and know I'm cheering you on!

Learning to be an Elder of sorts to others. A young friend was working through a situation and turned to me. We talked some, we laughed some, we went to a garden shop. Cry as much as you need to - then kick b×tt, I told my friend. Very best, Ash and All. ❤️ Jo

Beautiful, Jo! It is so important for us to become the elders we wished we had... and to just show up in little ways for those who are needing love or mentorship or simply a hug. Thanks for normalizing the importance of tears and laughter. You are magic!

I'm doing great in some reguards, and meh in others. I quit my job, am living off retirement to build the writing career I've always wanted. It's both exciting and unsettling. There are many skills I'm learning as I go (websites are not fun). I'm gearing up to do a book promotional tour for my first children's book this fall. I'm writing poetry almost daily and thinking of getting a poetry collection published. I was working on a someone's personal memoir, but the energy on that project has stalled. I'm working on a new project unrelated to anything else, and it might be ready for some feedback in a month or so.

Susan YES there are so many skills we have to develop as writers... writing is the easy part! May you keep finding ease and flow in creating beautiful support systems for yourself to share your writing. Blessings on your upcoming book tour and keep writing!

I try to be like Connie, but I sure wish I had a Connie in my life. Thank you for this - it was a good reminder for me. I've had quite a bit of pain lately and feel grumpy with it, so it's time to be a Connie and be there for others.

I wish we all had a Connie or two or three in our lives! May you find the Connie energy within you to find lightness in the pain and also to be sweet to your grumpiness. And sometimes bringing what we would like most to someone else helps us be with our own pain. Sending you so many blessings

Thank you for the timely reminder. I'm currently trying to figure out the best way to care for my aging mother who is difficult under the best of times. And figure out what I want for myself. I'm always inspired by you and all that you do. Blessed Be.

Arilyn sending you energy and stamina and clarity as you navigate supporting your mama. Sometimes the ones closest to us are the biggest teachers, and not in the way we might like. May you find more compassion, rootedness, and joy for yourself. Blessed be!

I am home alone, deepening the connection with nature & Universal Mind. A true test to reconcile what my mind hears & sees in the world today with what I know to be true through my interdimensional awareness of the world & cosmos. Thank you for the story of your 95 year old neighbor. I love the idea of longevity & I have had opportunities to leave thou I am still here for a reason. My dream is to know & find a small group of heartfelt people to share living space & resources. As I slow down with the doing I wish to be in the garden, with the animals, walking the forest and being all that I can be through my access with the higher levels of consciousness. I transformed my life through the decades, and as the next upleveling of a new life cycle unfolds I open my heart to share the wisdom. To bring others into ceremony with nature & earth connection is my medicine. aho mitakuye oyasin aho.
